Finally!!! This is the word all Samsung Omnia i8910 HD owners blurted out when this news was released. Going back to the day of Omnia i8910 HD unveiling to the public, everybody was really pretty excited and raving! I must say I was one of them, but got really depressed when i found out that there is more to rant than to rave for when it comes to this phone! Honestly I am not a Samsung fan, I have always find this phone annoying since it’s not user friendly. One click of a button and you think it will direct you to the application however, the next thing you know is you’re somewhere else and now confused how to go back to the main menu!

Tempting as it may look but the feature and performance of this phone is lame! So lame that the commercial for Samsung Omnia i8910 HD doesn’t give justice to even half of what it can really do. Watch this video below and check how cool the features this Samsung phone declares to have, after seeing this you would probably say;

“I want this phone to be mine” but after owning it you would shout out ‘ How can I have been such a fool to even buy this’!

I hope you did take the time to watch the enticing commercial!

So what will the new upgrade to the firmware have? Will it cure the sick features that this phone has? So far I have gathered a little details of what this firmware can do.

An improved user interface that claims to be faster (this is quite suspicious since you really don’t know how Samsung define ‘fast’), I really hope it’s an obvious speed change since their browser is as slow as a turtle on land.

Second change is another speed feature this phone needs a boost , and that is the touchscreen scrolling (some phones has the G-Sensor which is pretty efficient). The browser has the so called kinetic scrolling but the rest of the interface doesn’t. That’s a total loser specially when a lot of smartphones out in the market is pretty fast when it comes to switching from one application to the other. Hopefully the said upgrade can at least help Samsung i8910 HD to be at par with the other touchscreen phones.

The third one is a new graphic application that promises to bring the speed of accessing multi-media content to the next level! Does that mean a faster playback? No confirmed speed yet, since this Firmware will be available for download by January 2010 (Uk Market). Unfortunately the audio recording will not be one of the things this new update will resolve. This update is made available via Samsung PC studio that you need to download into your PC.
