The Robot Lobster was created strictly for locating mines under water. The device has 8 legs, moves in any direction, and only weighs 7 lbs. It’s made of industrial strength plastic, and uses its two antennas to communicate with it’s human master. The claw like looking things in the front and on its tail are suppose to keep the gadget stable in unstable water. “The lobster robot was created back in 2003 and was part of a military operation to keep harbors and coastlines free of danger. It was designed by Professor Ayers who “reverse engineered” how a lobster acts and walks around the sea floor.
