cool-fun-coolest-top-best-new-latest-high-technology-electronic-gadgets-gifts-idea-tony-hawk-ride-game-controllerThe new popular upcoming “Tony Hawk: Ride” game as well as its expensive motion sensing skateboard controller was first confused to be an Xbox 360 only exclusive deal. But as things stand at this point, officials from Activision have confirmed that the skater game will be multiplatform and will be available to the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

To hit the shelves in the US by October this year, we reckon there shouldn’t be a massive gap between its UK release date, so Tony Hawk fans looking to stock up the game for Christmas shouldn’t need to worry. Worrying more for the hefty pricetag of $119 on the whole package looks to be the more crucial fact. For those who haven’t heard much about how this new “Ride” game and its motion sensing skateboard controller will work. The Tony Hawk: Ride skateboard controller looks to revolutionise how skateboarding games are played on video game consoles.

Motion controls on this skateboard will be extremely sensitive and detailed to the user’s movements on the board. It will feature an advanced mode that will allow for on-the-spot 180s. Grabs are performed by actually grabbing the board as it senses your hand position, and pushing is performed by running your foot along the side of the board. And for those wondering, no, you won’t be able to lift the board off the floor of your living room – we don’t think.

If you’re in the US, you can pre-order the game and the skateboard now for all three consoles via Gamestop for $119, to be delivered on the 13th of October.
